Submissions
Submission Preparation Checklist
As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
- The submission is original and has not been previously published (online or otherwise), nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
- The submission file is in Microsoft PowerPoint (.pptx) (documentation), or Word document (.docx) (manuscript) file format. Creative submissions may be submitted in additional formats. Please contact the Editor-in-Chief prior to submission if this is the case.
-
Submission format for documentation: PowerPoint slides with a title page containing the title, author’s name, and affiliation; the title page may contain photographs that represent the work (please see previous issues for examples). The pedagogical documentation should have a table of contents and a reference list. Format for letter-size paper, landscape orientation (not widescreen). The PowerPoint should not contain overwhelming graphics, effects, or decorative design elements. Please see the specific guidelines below.
- Submission format for written manuscript: Manuscripts should include title page; abstract; keywords; references, etc. Please see the template and more detailed instructions below. Please ensure the title page is submitted as a SEPARATE document. The file should be blinded (see instructions below). For alternative submissions, please contact the Editor-in-Chief for guidance.
- The text adheres to APA 7th edition stylistic and other requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines, which is found in About the Journal.
- All electronic references include a DOI, if available. If no DOI is available, a full URL is provided. All links must be live and accessible.
- If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal (i.e., any manuscript), the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed. The title page and full paper should be submitted as two separate files.
- The author(s) confirm adherence to ethical standards for research involving human participants. When applicable, a statement of ethical approval is included in the manuscript.
- While we discourage the use of AI at any stage of manuscript preparation, if generative AI was used in any part of the preparation of the manuscript, the author(s) must clearly disclose the use at the end of the manuscript, including specifics on its use.
